Hands-on technical lead
I lead the technical direction and still write production code. I set up delivery practices, such as pull request reviews, automated tests and CI, and I make sure the team can keep them going after I leave.
Senior engineer
I join an existing team as a senior full-stack engineer. I pick up the work quickly, raise the standard of the code around me, and help less experienced developers.
Stepping in to cover or steady a project
Sometimes a project loses a key person, or a platform becomes unstable. I step in, keep things running, and leave the team in a better state. On a super fund’s member portal, one month of cover became five.
AI-assisted delivery
