About
An engineer who started in marketing and digital product.
I am a technical lead and senior full-stack engineer based in the Greater Brisbane Area, Queensland. I work remotely across Australia and I am happy to travel.
Background
I spent ten years in marketing, communications and digital product before I became an engineer. My roles included Communications Manager and Digital Project Manager at Youth Music, and I taught in Japan on the JET Programme. That background helps me work with stakeholders and understand what a product needs to do for its users.
I retrained as a software engineer at Makers in 2014. I then worked as a consultant at Codurance, where I helped clients build quality software and adopt Extreme Programming practices.
Public sector and contract work
In London I worked on public services. I helped rebuild data.gov.uk at the Government Digital Service. I built services for the Ministry of Justice and the Department for Education, including Find Postgraduate Teacher Training and Apply for Teacher Training.
Since then I have contracted for clients such as Abcam and Mastercard. In 2025 I moved to Australia.
